Omnibus tracks your real price history and displays the legally-required prior price on every reduced product, with the discount computed from that reference — the way German, Polish and every EU regulator requires.
FROM YOUR REAL PRICES The reference is the lowest price you actually charged in the 30 days before the reduction — never an invented figure. We read prices only: no orders, no customers, no PII (PCD Level 0).
How it works
Capture
1Every price change on your catalog is recorded into an append-only ledger the instant Shopify fires it — so even a brief dip inside the 30-day window still counts.
Compute
2For each reduced product we take the lowest price actually applied in the 30 days before the reduction. The % off is computed from THAT price (CJEU Aldi Süd C-330/23), never an inflated “was”.
Display
3The legally-required “lowest price in the last 30 days” shows on the product page via a theme block that reads a metafield — so it keeps rendering even if our backend is down.
Why it matters
Since 2022 the EU Price Indication Directive (Art. 6a) requires that any announced price reduction show the lowest price applied in the preceding 30 days. Enforcement is real and expensive — Poland’s UOKiK fined marketplaces millions for getting it wrong, and Germany’s PAngV is a magnet for competitor warnings (Abmahnungen). Omnibus keeps the label correct on your whole catalog so a reduction never becomes a liability.
